    Nope.

I feel that they're spam. Sometimes they're funny, but most of the time it's just annoying.

We have relatives who never call or email with anything person but send a barrage of forwards, one person at least once a day. I don't understand the point.

It's a way of keeping brain-dead relationships alive. They don't really think about you at all, but they add you to their forward list so they can claim they've been "keeping in touch with you" so that you won't feel ignored or alienated.

This is actually something my family members pull, too... it's extremely annoying. I'd rather you just ignore me unless you want to have a real conversation.

I've come to regard my family as being little more than another group of spammers who want to sell me garbage, honestly.

^ I think some of my in-laws believe in the "good luck" if you send it, bad luck if you don't, because if it says "send to 20 people!" they send it to all their own other email accounts like at work and such too.

I'm a little more sympathetic in that case. I mean, I can understand being paranoid about something like that... when I was little, I used to be afraid of stuff like that too, so I can forgive them sending that to me.

I just go ahead and take the bad luck now, though.

I've reached a level of unprecedented unpopularity where I don't even get chain letters/spam even with filters OFF.

Even my mother stopped emailing me.

I hate the things. My hubby sends them to me, a friend sends them to me( five to a dozen a day), my sisters send them to me. I voted no, just no, but if I'd seen it in time, I would've voted that I hate seeing FW in my email box.

    I just hate them.

Especially when one see's the familiar address and it's like "Oh a personal email!" and then Oh, it's just spam...
