Default Who is your favorite imaginary person?

I have to admit a fondness for Mr. Data. I wish more people were like him. He is never rude, he is non-competitive, profoundly peaceful, and always clear thinking. He is free of ego which so often distorts thinking and judgment. It's why I like him. I wouldn't mind being more like him. I'd even keep the cat and continue to paint and write poetry.

Hmm... I think that it would have to be Nevyn from "The Deverry Cycle" series by Katharine Kerr.

I am going to go with Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG1 .. His humour is very quirky, he is a get things done kind of guy, he doesn't care that he is not overly smart unlike his peers. He is cool. Actually he ROCKS .. He is not real unfortunately. :P

Man: His wife's in a coma.
Why do we always come here?

    I guess we'll never know.

It's like a kind of torture,
To have to watch this show.

If books are allowed, I'd say Captain Vimes from Pratchett's Nightwatchmen series because of the theme of redemption. And Carrot for ethics.

    From TV, Bernard Black:

I saw Dylan Moran's standup live in Wellington just over a week ago. He's my hero.

I thought he was too close to being Bernard Black that I disregarded him as an "imaginary" character.

Then I thought Larry David and disregarded him for the same reason.

    I'll pretend I didn't read that.

Books: Auriane from The Light Bearer, Donna Gillespie

    Cartoons: Jessica Rabbit

TV: Phoebe Halliwell (Charmed), Kat Stratford (Ten things I hate about you), Jack Sparrow (Pirates), Spike (Buffy), Selene (Underworld)

    Mythology: Freyja, Epona, Gaia.

The one thing these people/goddesses all have in common is a strong will and a strong sense of self (or at least acutely looking for self-awareness) as well as a passion for life. That's an absolute must for me.
