Hats are so classic, I can't imagine ever telling someone hats weren't "in." I'm wondering if she is trying to tell you she doesn't like YOUR hat.

If it's good enough for Audrey Hepburn...

It's more like I don't care what other people think. I understand what other people think...most of the time, I don't understand why they think it. And if my friend kept bothering me for fashion advice, it would drive me crazy.

Pfft, I wear hats all the time too. I love them! They're cute/classic and practical. In fact, I look askance at people who don't wear a hat outside in summer.

I think you might be the fashion forward one, Heart.

Okay, but hm... Does this really have to do with YOUR care or YOUR FRIEND'S? Lets assume you don't give a shit about fashion, but have a keen fashion sense. Your friend is the opposite: she cares a lot but has no concept of it. If she was wearing a ghastly outfit, wouldn't you tell her out of kindness and consideration? If not, wouldn't it be because you were trying to teach her something or make a statement that caring about fashion was stupid?

    1) You tell her
    2) You don't say anything because you want her not to care as much
    3) You don't tell her because it doesn't occur to you

Her care trumps her friends care. What are you a fashion Nazi?!

You don't want to be around when the fashion Nazi in me criticizes the outmoded in me. Accusations fly, feelings get hurt, it's not pretty.

"You should. Don't you know people talk about you, they wonder why you wear a hat?"
Hahaha, that is so funny for some reason. There must be very little going on for them if they have the time and the interest discussing whether or not someone is wearing a hat.

    People have funny priorities.

My favorite hat for a woman is the Valkyrie Battle Maiden's Head Piece:

Viking gear helmets odin helm thor valkyrie winged and

For a $100 you can't go wrong, it's pretty damn sexy in a barbaric sort of way.
