im both sides of the extreme
i prefer brown to dark brown hair
i like the whole 'tall dark and handsome' look especially when contrasted with light skin

and blondes with blue eyes, too.

I've always been attracted to guys who are blond with blue or green eyes. It's weird. It feels like a biological attraction. That is the kind of guy I've usually dated; they've often had a strong preference for brunettes.

On the other hand, the women who I find instantly attractive are always brunettes, (it's not sexual). I can see that many blondes are attractive but they don't catch my attention as immediately. It's puzzling.

...I seem to be developing an intense liking for darker hair in general as I get older. It's so striking.

I've never been a fan of blond hair, natural or otherwise. I like jet black hair or hair of any array of artificial colors.

Couple the hair with bright eyes and its game over for whatever previously held my attention. :blushing:

From what I've heard blonde women are more fertile which is what makes most guys find them more appealing. Also, often after having a child, a natural blonde will start to darken in haircolor (something with the hormones shifting balance)

And, for contrast: blonde haired women often have a problem with abstract thinking (also believed to be genetic if I remember correctly), aka math and stuff, which would explain the origins of the dumb blonde cliche...

I am pretty sure that I saw a study that held that blondes actually have the highest GPAs (of Caucasian students) in grade school.

As for myself, I like blondes fine, but I've only dated one in my life. I have dated outside my race a decent amount. If I had to pick a hair/eye color pairing, I'd go brunette with blue/green eyes. The contrast is nice. I was a towheaded blonde boy growing up, but my hair turned light brown.

Oh no doubt, not saying that blondes are in fact dumb, just that abstract stuff apparently is often not their strength, though they may be very intelligent and talented in other subjects

As a blonde youngster, I excelled in most subjects, but, as I grew up, I realized that I was best at history, geography, English, poli sci, etc. I am great at arithmetic (I am always the one figuring out the tip at dinner), but complex geometry and math were not as easy for me. Once there are too many numbers and letters mashed together on a page, I want to zone out. Environmental science and bio were not bad. Physics and chem were harder.
