a) vm=visitor message (see your profile. its that obvious thing, labeled "visitor messages")
c) you dont comment "on a wall" but you comment "on postings" by clicking on the balance sign to the left of every posting. the "wall" holds just a copy of the message, to keep an overview.
the message can also be seen, if the balance sign of the specific posting is clicked (by the one who is on the receiving end).
b) you reply by sticking a needle into a voodoo doll.
b) Is a PM the only way to respond to a rep wall comment?
c) How do I comment on someone else's rep wall?
d) be specific, I'm stupid
e) ENTJ fucktards* UNITE!
*OK, just describing myself, not including Juggernaut in that comment.
The rest are answered, so I'll answer C. You leave rep via the post that you want to rep...the "rep wall" as you call it isn't so much a wall, because you can't post directly to it. It's just a collection of rep comments that have been made to that member's posts. Under the member's avatar on each post is a little white graphic of a scale. Click that and you can leave rep on that post.
Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody Wang Chung tonight.
so, i have a question myself: can reputations of a posting be seen by other users as well? sure, no one is going to click the balance sign of every posting. unless there was a visual indication (a color overlay maybe) that a "sign" holds a message. an indication that is visible only to others. makes no sense i guess (i mean, if there was an indication it would show up for me as well), but sometimes technology actually makes no sense, so i am asking ....
also: the option in my settings about showing reputations in my profiles. i have enabled it. but i dont see anything in my public profile. do i misunderstand the setting? am i blind?
