LMAO! Perhaps if you took away all their beer, the Irish would set their minds into converting the world into the most efficient place possible. Once that is done, then they would have even more beer than before.

All right, I've had a good night's sleep and I've reviewed the thread to figure out just what the hell happened yesterday.

One thing is for sure and that is that I was too caught up in my own personal development (specifically, learning to real-time update an iNtuition that I was already acting on) to experience the slightest concern for your feelings, Jen. For my obliviousness on that score I feel truly ashamed.

(Ironically, I would have handled this thread much better a year ago when I suffered terribly from closed-minded certitude because back then I would not have expended any energy weighing the contrary evidence as I have in fact done this time - at the cost of all my F. To illustrate, I spent hours analyzing your denials before deciding that I did in fact have faith enough in my iNtuition to proceed. The fact of your being insulted I was only conscious of as one more element to analyze; the implications for our friendship did not even occur to me at the time. (athenian200, do you now believe that I am a Thinker? ))

The iNtuition I had and still have is that Natrushka has been privately communicating with you, Jen, about my type and that she has to some extent bolstered your belief in my ESTJ-ness. (I was and am open to anything between "J. wonders whether I am an ESTJ and N. concurs with some observations of her own" and "J. wonders whether I am really an INTJ and N. argues that I am an ESTJ", where only the latter extreme would make you the Othello to her Iago - and I actually think the first extreme is a hundred times more likely.)

All I wanted to do was to taunt Natrushka ( ) about her apparent fear of confronting me directly with her (other) arguments against my INTJ-ness but in the process I did not take care (well, that's probably putting it mildly :blushing: but the first time I used the term Iago was offhandedly in our PMs and only later did I take it to the thread) to exonerate you from the charge of having been her pawn. For this I am sorry from both an analytical perspective (I misrepresented my own iNtuition) and an empathetic perspective.

I cannot with any sincerity retract my claim that the denials you then issued were unconvincing, but I can say that I understand and even in some twisted way approve of why you (Jen) did it. I had it coming and then some. Still, I would like to ask you to think this over and then to once more deny my iNtuition if it is mistaken.

I'm sort of done investing my mental energy in the topic (and you can send any more aspects of the issue to me via PM, if you need to, to avoid a continuing drama here in the thread. ).... but I will confirm the following extreme:

This is what happened, if you need to know. Nat uses far less words than I do, so I'm sure I was much more copious in my speculations.

... and I actually think the first extreme is a hundred times more likely.)
I will consider that a good use of iNtuition, then.

    So beautiful!
Relationships have normal ebbs and flows. They do not automatically get better and better when the participants learn more and more about each other. Instead, the participants have to work through the tensions of the relationship (the dialectic) while they learn and group themselves and a parties in a relationships. At times the relationships is very open and sharing. Other time, one or both parties to the relationship need their space, or have other concerns, and the relationship is less open. The theory posits that these cycles occur throughout the life of the relationship as the persons try to balance their needs for privacy and open relationship.

I'm perfectly okay though I'd like to know if you still think I'm not an INTJ? (I've told you, all you have to deal with from me is my narcissism. ) You don't have to argue any remaining doubts you may have if you don't want to, I'm just curious.
