Women - I'm relatively neutral on this. 50 year old women who have never cut their hair and allow it to look horrible or grow to their ass..yuck. Basically if it's trimmed and healthy and not greasy or gross, I'm fine with it.

Men - I don't mind a shaggy kind of cut or a little curl. Something like that. Long hair, particularly the kind in a pony tail is awful awful awful. I prefer short hair on men but it doesn't have to be extreme.

On women, long hair definitely. Or medium or something like that. I've heard some look good with short hair. Haven't seen it myself. I trust my experience.

On men, anything really. Long, medium, short. Depends on the person. Not fond of all the punk and emo haircuts though.

Some women look really good with short hair, but I can't say I care much about one style over another.

On guys, and INTP nerds in particular, some of you should think about shaving the beard and cutting the hair. I don't know if the INTP wookie look is working for us. But I like having semi-longish hair myself.

Wookiees are allowed to be covered in hair. They offset it with loud unintelligible howling, blasting things and running from danger. Men, not so much. *bland stare*

For the men who love the ladies with the long hair and find short hair lazy: call me when you've dealt with thick, angry curls and a tiny pixie face, and then tell me that girls shouldn't chop their hair off if they please. (I'm shoulder-length at the moment, but I'm considering a longish-Peter-Pan short of thing. Could be cute. )

Men's hair, due to this, I have no preference in the world for. Just take care of it, however you choose to wear it, please.

Truth. INTP beards tend to be particularly scraggly, for some reason. Oh, wait. It's the not caring. Yeah, there's a reason.

Yeah it's not less work having short hair - at least for this chick. It really depends on the style.

I agree. I love my hair shorter but it's much more work than a medium or longer length. More cuts, more styling, just more maintenance in general. It's not lazy.
