    Either humid coastal weather.
    Or quiet snowy weather.

Which absolutely sucks since I have yet to find a place that has both.

How come? Plenty of places are characterized by such combo, especially in north-westermost europe (northern coast of Ireland, coastal Scotland) and eastern coastal Canada.

Being outdoors in miserable weather makes me remember that life has adventure in it for me, I feel more alive the worse the weather gets and that is always welcome.
But, if I had to pick a favorite I would say cold and wet. I also have enjoyed being in the couple hurricanes and typhoons that I was around for. I love hiking in ice storms.
I also like when it is so hot I cannot tell any longer weather I am awake or dreaming and the heat seems to mute all sound.

The crisp, cool fall weather with orange leaves on the ground and a sky that can go from sunny to slate gray and back again in a matter of minutes.

Cool weather with both light and dark clouds fighting to cover the sun but not succeeding.

Spoken like a true east coast to SoCal transplant. :P

Having grown up in CA I seriously do not understand the fascination with fall nor do I miss the changing of seasons. Now that I'm older I can appreciate how visually pretty it is but I also find it slightly depressing. And then the winter? Snow can be fun but having a 7 day blizzard/city shut down (thanks DC) makes one go cray cray.

If I lived somewhere warm and balmy year round I would *not* complain. Decorating a Christmas tree with fake snow while it's 85 degrees outside sounds fine to me. Living in a desert also sounds find to me - dry and hot. Except deserts get freezing at night - not so fun. Warm until 11pm at night or better yet, 24/7? Yes, please!

Okay, why am I not surprised that there is a large portion of the forum who loves cold, rainy, stormy, snowy, weather?

I love thunderstorms too. But more when I have the luxury of being indoors to enjoy them or maybe dance around in the rain. Otherwise, major commuting/fashion buzzkill. And I can appreciate the changing seasons and the beauty in each extreme of weather but for living? Sunny, mild, moderate, breezy, cheerful clouds, a tad bit humid or dry. Maybe a sprinkling of rainy days that are perfect for curling up on the couch and being lazy.

This kind of reminds me of a question here long ago about how much light we use or something? I like lots of indoor lighting at any given time. I wasn't surprised to read that some INTXs liked sitting in the equivalent of a bat cave. :P

    weird weather is so cool.

one day we had like this extreme hot like you were walking into a sauna but it was very dry. There was this extremely strong warm wind. The sky was dark and yellow. Very unusual for New England, but super cool.
