That's what I was thinking. It's an urge. Going to the gym is like that too. I just do it.

Sometimes I say to myself "do I have to go to work ?" in a whiny tone though.

    Ahhhhh-ok.
    (hm, bum moment.)
It never occurred to me that people didn't address themselves with a pronoun inside their heads for some odd reason.
Ever since I was a kid I had to go and categorize everything in my head, even my thoughts so I gave a "persona" to each. There wasn't anger, there was "general" and so on.

I used to have two characters in my mind - one that was strong and detached and the other who was more the dreamer. I would often debate between the two. Now I don't think of them as two persona's, but I still debate multiple positions inside my head and this often results my my talking outloud to myself too much. I don't recall much use of pronouns.

It's okay. It never occurred to me that people did. This site is all about learning.

    Dang, that sounded crazy.

Oh, but it is always my voice.
    Exactly like me.

Sometimes I think for other people. When I am thinking about the future or present I use I more. When I recall the past I use you more. Don't know why I do this.

You in pass tense is critical while you in future tense is bossy. Sounds typical of an INTP.

I use both I and you.

"I" is for when I'm thinking for myself - "I wish they'd stop arguing..."
You is for when I'm bossing myself around - "Jeremy, you need to stop acting like this and get it together."

When I use "you", it's in my voice and usually prefaced by my name, as if I'm addressing myself instead of my thoughts.
"Can you set me free from this dark inner world? Save me now, last beats in the soul.."
