Default greatest snack that is not ants on a log

it gets the keyboard dirty. plus it takes a while to make, what with the lining up of the raisins. apple slices and peanut butter are ok, but always leave something to be desired imho.

I never can have the patience to add the 'ants'. It's just 'log' for me.

I find soda to be the most efficient snack.

Peanut butter on a peice of celery with raisins on top. A popular children's snack.
Is not to be held accuntable for peeling errors.

That's ants on a log? But the thread title says not ants on a log.

    I'm confuzzled.

I'm eating the greatest snack right this minute ~ Emerald Harmony, Island Crunch. (tm) A luscious blend of honey roasted peanuts, papaya, banana chips, pineapple and honey roasted sesame sticks. Yum.

The greatest snack is popcorn. Stick it in the microwave, and then you have a snack two minutes later.

Marmite on toast is the greatest snack in the world. Takes a few minutes to prepare, and a few minutes of heavenly indulgence to consume.

Failing any marmite, it has to be an oxo and onion sandwich, but no kissing afterwards.

i had to wikipedia this, and all i can think of is, oh you silly brits! when will you learn about flouride toothpaste and food that is made for human beings not sailors (the sailor diet is the precursor to the military/nasa space food, imho).

tho i must admit, my first impression was that it was similar to a favorite indonesian snack of mine- termites on charred chips of smoked hickory finished with a dash of sea salt and a fried curry leaf.

i do wonder what the great british food writer nigel slater would say about such matters?

I think light sandwiches make good snacks. You know, like PB&J, grilled cheese, peanut butter and banana, etc.
