Default What's your typology name mean?

I find there are usually some pretty fun stories behind people's online names. Can I get your story?

Question list for people who like question lists.
Feel free to just type instead and you can use all or none of the questions.
How long have you been using the name?
    Where did you get it?
Where is your name "most famous"?
Do you use it other places online?
Tell about a different nick if you would like, too.

    Hopefully this isn's a n00b repeat post!

My name is my first name.

I wish it were more special than that, but I like using it on forums. It adds a layer of personableness to it. I like nicknames in real life though.

One of my other online handles is Darklink2009. First started using it when I was 13 and began playing Runescape. Darklink is from the Legend of Zelda. 2009 is just a random year. Now it makes me look like an infant.

My final online handle is Farore. The Goddess of Courage and Wind from the same game.

    Fonewearl and proud of it!

    Sy the photo guy

Never used it anywhere else. It's the name of Robin Williams character in "One Hour Photo". Can't say I relate to him, but I was kinda depressed when I joined the forum so it was a fitting name since I'm a big movie aficionado.

It's a nickname. A play on my surname. People use it all the time.

When I was in 7th grade I arrived at my first handle, Rykaziel, because I had gotten heavily into the DC game "Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver." The protagonist's name was Raziel, and he was a being who had evolved faster than his "father" Kain, and thus was killed. However, he was spared, and was probably the most badass looking character I had ever seen in a game, and I loved everything about that game, so I altered his name by adding the "yk" and called it my own.

I used it until I settled on JocktheMotie, after having read "The Mote in God's Eye" and taking a liking to the Moties, an alien race who had evolved in such a way as to be highly specialized in tasks they were bread for, instead of more generally specialized beings like humans, who can change roles on the fly. JocktheMotie was just easier for others to pronounce [endless mispronunciations on Xbox Live gets to you after a while], easier to type, and quite frankly, a tad less weird. So I use it now for most of online alias' and user names.

JAVO = Just Another Vulcan Observer

It fits me well because I prefer to be a logical, detached observer, although lately I'm recognizing the value of observing by participation.

Mine is inspired by Diane Duane's books.

Non sequitur - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pretty appropriate for someone with ADD and an absurdist attitude towards life. I've been using it since 2005; it was my handle on INTPc and I chose it because it was completely different from any other handle I'd used before. I also use it at whedonesque.

The story by H.P. Lovecraft. Don't use it anywhere else though.

Eh. I just wanted to create a rather anonymous username (see how many hits you get googling "colors") and one that was unique enough that it didn't require me to remember a string of numbers after it.
