    I swapped a swordfish for a banana.

Tom Waits has an album called swordfishtrombones, which I'm very fond of.

I removed the fish, as a Piscean, and put in a banana.

How long have you been using the name?

I've been using this name my entire life, on all forums, all video games etc. Anything that requires a nickname online I use BlackCat.

Where is your name "most famous"?

Hehe, most famous. I used to be a regular poster on a forum for lonely people, "Alonelylife" but all of the people that I was friends with quit posting, and I now talk to them on IMs. I also used to be pretty famous on the Halo PC game back when I played it way too much, there were only 4 servers that I really liked. In all of those servers about 10 out of the 16 people there were regulars, and they came to know and fear my name. It felt kinda special getting greeted in a game by people you've only killed or worked together to grab a flag with.

Do you use it other places online?

I have some variation of the name BlackCat on every forum I've ever been on, and most instant messengers.

    Where did you get it?

I remember when a game told me to put in a name when I was a kid, it was a second file. I had already used Chris, so I thought to myself "Hmm, I like cats, especially black ones. I also like the color black." and so it became that way. This happened when I was about 10, playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarana of Time. BlackCat was my second profile on that game.

Mine is a play on an old character Barberella from a film a long time ago. But with my ethnicity mixed into it.

I use it at a few other forums too.

Chose it coz I was inspired by a female character by that name in a comic book. She was the empress of the supposed ancestors of the viking, called the Asys. Loved her fairness and her ability to handle herself without losing any of her feminity and the fact that she was in no way anorexic. She was also very much aware that she was human and imperfect, while being ok with that, aka she wasn't afraid to ask for help when needed. An inspiration to women everywhere, as far as I was concerned.

I chose it as my Craft name, as I have some viking ancestors myself. I then expanded the use of the name afterwards to include online stuff.

Tell about a different nick if you would like, too.

    Hopefully this isn's a n00b repeat post!

My original name unpronounceable to most so I made it easy for them.

I choose most of my online names randomly, then I ask the mods if I can change it to a name that is more suitable for the Forum...
