I took these pictures last night as we waited for the fireworks show to begin. This was my view as well as the West New York, NJ crowd's view on my street. (Made parking & driving a nightmare! I believe Jersey City, Weehawken, and Hoboken were much worse.) Unfortunately, a fire broke out on one of the six barges shooting fireworks, but they put it out relatively quick.
To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the exploration of the Hudson River by Henry Hudson as well as (U.S.) Independence Day, Macy’s held their annual 4th of July Fireworks display in the Hudson River between New Jersey and New York City this year.
