This thread primarily contains my postings, and my taste in food is decidedly lowbrow, in other words not representative of my culture's best food-as-art.

But instead of being a critic, maybe you should show us how it's done. Post a pic of something that properly represents your superior taste.

Today for lunch I have something like this:

It's actually Swiss chard, potato, and chickpea stew. The recipe's online.

Here's a little pic I found. They say to serve it with boiled egg.

For some reason today I'm craving a nice oniony egg salad sandwich on wheat toast. Specifically on wheat toast.

I just got done putting the turkey into the oven. Defrosting and brining in Salt, thyme, orange, lemon, onion, garlic, and water solution in the fridge for 3 days, I seperated the skin from the breast and coated the breast meat it in marjoram, rosemary, thyme, and butter. Creole butter injected into the meat throughout the turkey, foil-wrapped the tips of the wings and sealed the turkey up, and rubbed the outside of the whole thing in salt and pepper. I created a hood out of foil on top so the steam catches. It's currently in the oven, and it'll be ready in about... 6-7 hours. We'll see if my adjustments produce a moist turkey or not.
