I knew we should have explained it slower. Conditioning means it WOULD look appetizing to someone that has eaten one and enjoyed it!

By the way, the soft-shell crab sandwich is real food, and quite tasty if you've never had one. They ain't cheap, either.

Well then, back to the original topic. I give you... the king prawn po' boy:

Yes, it's just what it looks like: a big-ass fried shrimp sandwich.

One of my fondest food-related memories is watching Martha Stewart do a feature on the poboy, and she kept calling it the "poor boy." And the way she pronounced poor was kind of like "poo-er."

Martha Stewart should stay away from any kind of food requiring even a modicum of "soul" to understand. This includes bayou-class Cajun cuisine, barbecue, and pretty much any food that is dumped out on a paper-covered picnic table prior to being eaten.

    Speaking of which... crawfish, anyone?

    How about some Chicken Eclectic.

Some onions, green peppers, balsamic vinegar, white wine, shot of Worcestershire sauce, couple of teaspoons sweet and hot pepper sauce, fresh basil, tomatoes, paprika, coriander, some thyme, fresh black pepper, salt. Let the sauce simmer till it thickens(or cheat and add some flour). Throw it on some pasta or brown rice.

Apparently it earned the approval of a sixteen year old. He ate everything left, after we had our first serving.
