No, that picture came off a degustation menu online (those tasting thingys). My friend'd ordered it as a main, so it was enough for two. Unfortunately, it smelled so yummy I didn't remember to take any pictures till we'd devoured it. The pasta tubes were handmade and basically filled with a lovely grilled shrimp flavour and herbs and fresh parmesan, so every bite was a little spicy, with a warm sea-salty, sweet taste that lingered on the tongue.

    Damn. Now I'm hungry.

I'm not sure what's in those boxes, but I'm sure it's something good.

I'm going to try and send this again as it was cut off last time!

    Picadillo-

1 pound of ground beef or cut up chicken breasts.
    1 onion
    1 green pepper
    2 cloves of garlic
    1 can of tomato sauce
    2 potatoes
    Salt
    Pepper
    Cumin
A medium jar of Spanish Olives
A few dashes of Olive Oil

Chop the onions, green pepper and garlic in a food processor (I like it puréed)
Mix the onions, green pepper, garlic, and 1/2 a can of the tomato sauce, cumin, salt, pepper, olive oil and Spanish olives.
Brown the meat and add the mixture from the food processor
Add the rest of the tomato sauce, a half a can of water and the potatoes

Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat and cover for about 20 mins

*I also add olive oil and Spanish olives and let it simmer on low heat for 1-2 hours. If you're using a crock pot cook on low all day. If you are using chicken instead of ground beef you'll want to let it simmer longer.

And of course you can double the recipe to make more!

Serve with white rice (I like yellow with chicken) and Cuban or French bread!

YUM. I love chicken parmesan, Jen. Did you make it from scratch?

    Here's tomorrow's bento lunches. First, Noah's:

It's fried rice (my first attempt- pretty darn good if I say so myself), orange shrimp (a Contessa frozen kit, wouldn't buy it again probably), silicone baking cup of grapes, a pomegranate applesauce cup, and a fruit leather separating the rice from the other stuff. I put a baggie of sesame sticks in for a snack, and a Snapple.

    Here's Thing 1's:

Hers is a silicone baking cup of the fried rice and one shrimp, another of grapes, two cut out PB&J stars (her brother likes the crusts better so he'll have those), and whole grain goldfish. There's a fruit leather under the goldfish and PB&Js. She has an applesauce for snack and a Snapple.

Someday, I'll charge my actual camera's battery instead of using the crappy cell camera and texting them to photobucket.
