Actually, no. Hardee's was a ghastly cheap burger chain that I'd rate worse than Burger King up until a while after the buyout in the later 90s.

Hardee's was a separate company that was bought by CKE in the late 90s. The midwest and west franchises in Carl's Jr regions were sold to Burger King by CKE (not perfect, see the map below), which kept the Hardee's name in the east. CKE is the company that owns Carl's Jr. CKE irregularly upgraded the Hardee's menus to be similar to Carl's Jr in some respects. Apparently to this day they're a bit of a bastard child of the merger with their menus varying wildly by location and local ownership.

CKE changed their logo and most of their menu, but the menu/food is not actually the same as a Carl's Jr. Hardee's is basically their cheap eastern US variant that more accurately reflects the (lack of) taste of the people in the east and south.

Disclaimer: The above is my opinion and mine alone, it does not mean I cannot change my mind, nor does it guarantee that my comments are related to any deep-seated convictions. Take everything I say with a whole snowplow worth of salt and call me in the morning, if you can.

I was going to be offended until I realized that I have no taste.

Sometimes. I also have my adventurous side.

For example, I want to try tempeh. I never have had the chance.

I'm making this for tomorrow night It's chicken picadillo. Tonight it's steak with
    sautéed mushrooms and brown rice.

    Here's some General Tso's Chicken.

I hate that I like this stuff so much, because everybody likes it, and I hate to be the stereotypical American who gets the closest chinese-food thing he can get to McNuggets...

...but still, I like it, especially if the meat is really crisp and there's some spicy heat in the sauce.

Everyone found it positively revolting, we barely ate it, and a couple weeks later we threw out a good 50 bucks worth of otherwise-edible ingredients that were rendered unendurable by their combination with that turkey crap.

Then again, I hate turkey anyway.
You seem to hate a lot of things.

I'll try to remember not to invite you over for dinner on a night when I'll be using ground turkey.
