My favorites are "other." And I make them every year. All the Norwegian goodies.

    Krumkake
    Spritz
    Rosettes
    Kringla
    Fattigman
    Butter sugar cookie cutouts
    Sandbakkels
    And does lefse count?

One problem - they are all white. Heh. Natch.

So I make those little strawberries and cornflake wreaths so that there's some color on the plate.

Yeah, but.. there's something absolutely awesome about hot, fresh baked cookies. It's the cream of the crop.

Chocolate chip cookies for damn sure. They're made of flour, sugar, win, eggs, and chocolate chips.
    yep, they're made of win.

Nothing else can compare, until they figure out how to put raw unadulterated sex into cookies, and even then they'd add chocolate chips.

Just got my cookie cutters out after seeing this thread and thought of Edahn. Funny story.

My kids wanted me to make cutout cookies so they went out and bought cutters. And they bought Jewish themed ones! So every year we have Christmas cookies in the shape of scrolls, dreidles, Stars of David. Hah. How multi-culti is that?

when it comes down to Names alone, which one of those 3 would you trust?
Pfefeffeppermenteffeenemousse... Berlin-liner-krazy-er.. or the all time favorite

Chocolate chip for the eternal WIN.

However, if we're making it specifically Christmas in genre, I will vote for homemade sugar cookies with buttercream frosting.
