    Default Chewing tobacco

    (also known as "dip")
    Just thought of something.

Is this just a U.S. phenomenon, or do people in other places have it also?

Wait a minute, one of the brand-name chewing tobacco cans is Copenhagen....is that a trick, or does that mean Europeans do it, too?

(I don't chew, but one of my friends used to.)

It's a really big thing in the rural areas here. I have no interest in doing or trying it, though.

It is where I'm from, too, which is also a rural area. So I was thinking "is this the only place in the world where it's even popular?"

I heard they banned it in most of Europe just because hardly anyone used it there.

Hmm, never seen anyone here indulging in the practice. Hope that helps your stats

Forgot to bump for the Europeans. Now I guess I'm bumping for the early birds.

Also, what about people who live in the city? Is it just a rural trend?

I had to deal with it's nasty, shall we say, end product CONSTANTLY when I was a mechanic. There were always shouts of "PINK!! Watch your step, girlie!" and that was just me trying to walk into the garage, for crying out loud. It was disgusting. They'd spit right onto the concrete apron, and when the foreman banned it, they spit into Mountain Dew bottles. REVOLTING. Just thinking of it makes me gag.

It was vile. EVERY SINGLE DAY. At least they were polite enough to tell me where NOT to step. (I would have chased them with a tire iron otherwise...)

There was a guy in the auto garage next door. He asked me out, and when he did so, he had wad in his lip. Nothing like a dude asking you out when he's got bits of tobacco stuck in his teeth. Look at me, being all high-falutin'!

Far as I can tell, Cim, europeans just smoke like freight trains.
