Default What is your theme song?

I was talking with someone last night and this topic came up. Seemed to me to be an interesting exercise. What is your theme song? What song best represents you? You must pick only one! Feel free to explain why or to interpret anyone's choice.

    Mine: Depeche Mode - Strangelove
"Create like a god, command like a king, work like a slave."

I've had several people tell me that the song "My Life" by Billy Joel reminds them of me, which I can't decide whether they're insulting me or not.

"I don't care what you say anymore, this is my life
Go ahead with your own life, and leave me alone"

I've always related to that. I also like "You May Be Right."

But for a theme song, I'd go with the Beatles, "The Fool on the Hill." I think it's an excellent INTP song.

According to my typology, I guess it should be Feelings by Gemini ; however, the one that would define me today is Footprints In The Sand by Leona Lewis

Wildflowers - Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Rondstadt.

I heard it for the first time when I was very little and even then I felt like I related very closely with the lyrics. I had forgotten about it for many years until I heard it on the radio again a few years ago. And actually, my ID is one that I created a long time ago in the time when I had completely forgotten about it and had nothing to do with the song... at least not consciously.

I grew up in Western NY (very rural) and a lot of my time as a child was spent trapesing through the fields and hills around our house. And I did eventually end up moving away from home. I found it strange when I rediscovered this song that I had connected with it so wholly as a child and many years later I still felt like it was a kind of premonition and understanding of how I felt.

    Wildflowers

The hills were alive with wildflowers
And I was as wild, even wilder than they
For at least I could run, they just died in the sun
And I refused to just wither in place

Just a wild mountain rose, needing freedom to grow
So I ran fearing not where I'd go
When a flower grows wild, it can always survive
Wildflowers don't care where they grow

And the flowers I knew in the fields where I grew
Were content to be lost in the crowd
They were common and close, I had no room for growth
I wanted so much to branch out

So I uprooted myself from my home ground and left
Took my dreams and I took to the road
When a flower grows wild, it can always survive
Wildflowers don't care where they grow

I grew up fast and wild and I never felt right
In a garden so different from me
I just never belonged, I just longed to be gone
So the garden, one day, set me free

I hitched a ride with the wind and since he was my friend
I just let him decide where we'd go
When a flower grows wild, it can always survive
Wildflowers don't care where they grow

Just a wild rambling rose seeking mysteries untold
No regret for the path that I chose
When a flower grows wild it can always survive
Wildflowers don't care where they grow.
    Embrace the possibilities.
