Yeah, I figured that "non-romantic sweetness" cut out a large chunk of possibilities.

OK, let's include romantic sweetness. I hope this thread doesn't degenerate and get linked to the sexual harassment thread.

Also, I think the "best thing that ever happened to me" line is incredibly sweet. What was your response?

a lot of and stumbling, and some lame sentence saying that he'll know lots of great women in his life (I was his first love)

For that matter, he has said a lot of wonderful things to me *smiles*
"You complete me, you took my breath away the first time I saw you" etc etc

My husband when we were dating - "You're as beautiful as a room full of roses."
(I'm not, really. And he doesn't remember saying it. But it was important to me at the time.)

My 16 year old ISTP son - "You're the most important person in my life."

"I married you not Betty Crocker on steroids."
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

it's funny how types of people are so different.

If a guy said that to me, my first response would be to get far away from him, it comes across to me as either total BS or else a dependency issue.

(although on some small level somewhere, deep inside, a little piece of me would still get all glowy )

In the end, its all sweet nothings. I actually got a damn whopper out of it and king size fries, and a king size refillible coke. If I also remember correctly, we got tacos too, when they used to actually offer them. Best damn tacos ever.

Too bad I don't eat meat anymore.
