    Because the barometer's main function is in the prediction of weather, so is primarily a tool for using present conditions to predict future events. Could also represent being attuned to changes into the natural world.

    I suppose one could argue that clocks are for people who need to know when to shift to the next activity, thereby implying a planned next activity or schedule. For an INFP, could represent an accommodation to the realities of living in a fairly J, clock-based culture.
