    Your avatar:

This avatar, your previous cat avatars, and, indeed, your whole interest in cats reflects a personal identification with them.

Like a cat, you are usually cool, calm, detached, and unexcitable.

But, also like a cat, this surface calm betrays an internal feral intensity just waiting to be activated.

If someone crosses you, the claws come all the way out and you firmly stand your ground.

You specifically like black cats because of your interest in witchcraft and the occult.

    I agree with this.

I'm not sure it goes deeper than #1 and #2.

If it goes any deeper, I think it's slightly similar to Bubbles' avatar, in that it
emphasizes the ideal of simplicity, naivete, and innocence, while downplaying the real complexity and edginess of the INFP.

My wife is an INFP, and she does this all the time.

Wonkavision, your avatar tells me you have nothing to hide.

    (or do you?)

Since I feel like testing the analysis of y'all, I'm going to provide some avatars I've had in the past. (on other forums; some avatars not to scale):

Yeah, I'm pretty much an open book.

That's why I simply use a picture of myself, rather than a symbolic representation.

However, if I'm going to be totally honest, it's still a self-conscious attempt to control how others perceive me.

I specifically chose a picture which emphasizes my more positive side.

I do NOT always look this cheerful.

In fact, I often look angry.

So, in that sense, I guess you could say I'm hiding something, but mostly I'm just emphasizing the positive.

I would say you are showing us your positive side while hinting at something all together darker, and more complex underneath.

Wait, that's a cheerful person in your avatar? Looked awfully nervous to me.

On second reflection, I suppose I can see the cheer. Wait, no, it's gone again.

You SURE you were in a better mood when you took that picture? I'm reading a mood something along the lines of "alright, let's make a decent smile for Facebook."

EDIT: Maybe it's the volume. (in the HSV sense) Perhaps the light is washing out a large part of your expression. You look like you're smiling when I change the monitor settings a bit.

EDIT 2: I'm falling back on my original impression and saying that your smile wasn't fully genuine.

I'm not getting much from this except the phrase "Strength and Humility."

When I combine that with the quote in your signature and your reportedly being an 8w9, I get somewhat of a clearer picture, although it's still pretty hazy.

Basically, I would guess that you are strong yet humble, or at least that this quality is something you aspire to and/or want to be seen as.
