    Yea sure, you are right, but you have a flaw in your logic. If I had identified myself as the forum jerk, then by the time everyone knows, it was me who did it. In giving your type away from the start, you already could fit some stereotype that is associated with your type making you someone, even if you havent made one post yet.

    I myself do not care, if someone gives away his type or not, because it takes away all the fun, if I have got all the information from the start.

    Jack Flak had a point -- it doesn't define you.

    I make most things 10x a bigger deal than they are, so go figure.

    Yup to Firelie & entropie

    It's the instant judgement as opposed to learning about someone over time. Course I don't care that people know my type, it's not a secret and it doesn't define me but I don't want interaction to start with preconceived opinions. Has nothing to do with 'lack self-confidence in my ability to genuinely present myself'.

    I have a suspicion many of them them are S's, embarrassed by their S-ness or scared of the dislike of S's. Or SJ's - hee, even worse!
