    Lucky you. The scary thing is that I'll sometimes appear in complete control of my faculties to other people when I'm ridiculously drunk. They have no idea my brain is out to lunch. :horor: Sometimes, neither do I.

    Hey! I DID admit to occasionally devoting an evening to destroying someone when drunk (if they seem to have it coming...). Isn't that mean enough protean?

    And lucky people who've never experienced a black out when drinking

    It's more to me that people rarely categorize themselves in a negative way. So the categories aren't nondescript, it's just that people maybe people aren't aware enough of their behavior to put themselves in a negative category. For example, an "affectionate" drunk could really be someone who's obnoxious and annoying but they think they're being affectionate and maybe they are to themselves. As someone who's around drunk people at least every other weekend I can see how someone would say I'm affectionate but the recipient of the affections would say differently. How many times has my ass been grabbed by an affectionate drunk?

    That's what I meant, more or less. Maybe we've got a really tame lot here, I don't know.
    Relationships have normal ebbs and flows. They do not automatically get better and better when the participants learn more and more about each other. Instead, the participants have to work through the tensions of the relationship (the dialectic) while they learn and group themselves and a parties in a relationships. At times the relationships is very open and sharing. Other time, one or both parties to the relationship need their space, or have other concerns, and the relationship is less open. The theory posits that these cycles occur throughout the life of the relationship as the persons try to balance their needs for privacy and open relationship.

    Affectionate drunk grab your ass many times? Ha! Now that's cool. If I were you, maybe I'll grab him/her back and ask many things I can't list here.

    Sounds aggressive, eh?

    Very well then. I am a bad drunk: I sexually harass people (grab ass, boobs, etc.) and don't care if they like it.

    Me too, more often than not. I have close friends who would swear they've never seen me drunk

    Yeah, that's what I do. But my drunken behavior isn't very different from my sober behavior. *shrug*

    I acquired the Dr. Jekyll/Ms. Hyde nickname back in the day to describe the contrast. It is pretty stark.

    @proteanmix:

    Do you say that I'm the fool one? And you say, two drunken fools? Where's the smart one, he/she'll have to teach those fools to be smart.

    I get tipsy once or twice a year. I guess I become more talkative and willing to laugh. I'm a better person after a couple of drinks, to be honest. I get protective and more kind and fun. But I do have a moral gripe with others' drinking.

    -How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
    -What are you talking about?
    -Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
    -Well, forget about him and get to bed.
    -Yes, my dear.
