    I'd say that handshakes are more tolerable than hugs and kisses, provided you have gloves on.

    I prefer kisses or affectionate pecks on the cheek to hugs. I generally don't like the sense of vulnerability that accompanies being smothered with a caring and affectionate hug. It makes me feel like Penelope Pussycat in a Pepe Le Pew cartoon.
