Sing a meaningul original song that I wrote at my church
I would like to go to a really really fancy restaurant whose chef is someone famous- one of those really elegant restaurants with a four course meal and formal attire
    Swim with a dolphin
Get a picture of my father
Learn as much as I can about philosophy
Develop my thinking to a point that I can be proud of
Do something really really big for my husband-something that would completely blow him away in a good way
Me and hubby made an RPG Nutrition Game

Great movie, lady. Good concept, too. I think we all have them but I'd never thought much abut it until I saw the film.

Since I was in fourth grade and did a report on the Mayans I've wanted to go to Chichen Itza and climb the Pyramid of the Sun. I'd thought to combine it with a trip to Cozumel to scuba in the reefs there. I was just beinning scuba certification classes when 911 happened. We thought not to travel which was probably a mistake. Since then I have read that they've closed the pyramid off to visitors because of the erosion of all those foot prints. And now someone suggested that the strong currents in Cozumel may be a bit much for me.

But I've been thinking about revising the plans and trying again. Snorkel and a visit and fly-over? Sumpin'. . .

I'd always wanted to travel with a carnival for a couple of seasons and then write a book about carnival culture, but uncertainty at an early age and then children and a career took my window of opportunity for doing that without it being a hardship to do now. I've thought about learning to eat fire and do some of the other sideshow acts and may pursue that yet.

And I always wanted to travel by Harley, made that happen, decided that I was too unsteady any more and let it go after a couple of decades. But I missed it and bought a three-wheeler and am riding again, living that dream.

A book? I've been compiling my writing for years now and someone else will have to edit that if they want to!

When I'm no longer ambulatory I plan to read the six-hundred-some letters my husband and I wrote to each other over the years. Think that will be fun.

I plan to help my mother die a good death.

I'd like to learn Norwegian folk-painting - rosemaling. Take a beginning Norwegian class.
    Start doing yoga.

Got most of the biggies crossed out by now.

The rest is very simple - to live well, play well and contribute what I can. In that order for a change!
"No ray of sunshine is ever lost, but the green which it awakes into existence needs time to sprout, and it is not always granted to the sower to see the harvest. All work that is worth anything is done in faith." - Albert Schweitzer

It's funny you started this topic; just last night I was thinking about all of the things my dad and I will never discuss, and that I should start talking to him about whatever I want, and asking him all the things I've always wanted to ask, because one day he won't be around, and I'll have to live with the knowledge that I passed up the only chance I had to open up and have a deep conversation with my favorite person in the world.

Most of these aren't realistic, but:

    • To go to every major amusement park in the country.
    • To go to the UK.
    • To write an award-winning novel.
    • To go to Australia.
    • To go to Seattle (for some reason, it looks interesting).
    • To design roller coasters.
    • To go to San Francisco and speed and fly down those hills.
    • To make a blockbuster action movie.
    • To clone myself about 50 times.
    • To one day get off disability.
    • To make a video game, or rather direct others to make a video game in my image.
    • To be comfortable leaving my apartment to do all these things.

    -Learn French
-Do a road trip in a car covered with painter's tape that you can write on with a sharpy (Audi S4: The coolest road trip ever! - The German Car Blog) Like that.
-Record a music album. Or like 50.
-Run a marathon (or, to get really crazy and unrealistic, run the rest of Terry Fox's run -Thunder Bay Ontario to Victoria BC)
-Be a published writer (fiction or non-fiction)
-Live in Georgian Bay for like a month, just canoeing around playing guitar and occasionally going into town to get some food.
-Paint a really awesome self portrait
-Do some Edward Weston style photographs... actually, just make great photography in general.
    -Learn to sing well
-Be very wealthy with absolutely no status symbol to show for it (i.e. drive a peice of shit car and live in a modest house in a normal neighborhood, rather then driving a beamer and having a giant house)
-Go to Africa. Not neccearily to save anyone from AIDS or poverty, but just to see it. Might as well be charitable, too, though, if only through monetary donations.
-Go to Ireland and Britain... and France... and... I want to go everywhere!
-Live in Quebec. It would be fun to live in Montreal, but if I ever did become bilingual, it would be great to live in Quebec City just for like a year or maybe less.
-Learn piano again, and either violin or cello.

-How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
    -What are you talking about?
-Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
-Well, forget about him and get to bed.
    -Yes, my dear.
