ajblaise: So, why come you don't have your age in your profiles? It must be because you are madd old.

the rest of us: what?! LOL no, it's because I didn't go out of my way to put it there/I didn't want my full date of birth to show/whatever

ajblaise: ho-ho-hold up there, old timer! don't be so sensitive. it's okay that you're a decrepit old piece of shit.

the rest of us: *exasperated sigh*

I didn't really make the thread with just older people in mind... young people might not want to expose their age also.

I wasn't really curious about the people who weren't sure if their age showed or whatever the default option is.... but the people who consciously wanted to make sure they age didn't show.

I really didn't think this inquiry would be this big of a deal....

Hey, I'm NOT the oldest person on this forum (close though from this thread...) I've mentioned a couple times I've been married 27 years; I did wait to finish college to marry so...

I've just always kept my birthday a secret. Easier to celebrate the way I want to and avoid drama over those that end in 0

I'm obsessively private about my age on the internet. It gives too much away about myself. I've said before that I'm a student, and that's enough.
I rank my age about equally with where I live, what my name is, and what I look like, in terms of what I want to stay private.

no one believes my age in real life even after i show them my id their like no way! you can't be 22 you look 16/17/18. so I figure if you don't believe me here well then that makes this is closer to real life, and so the fact that i enjoy talking to strangers i've never met, just seems less pathetic.

......wait i just said why i show my age.
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so
