It would be nice if contagious people would stay home. Unfortunately, one doesn't always know one is contagious until the symptoms show up.
I used to get so irritated when I worked at a childcare center and parents would bring their sick babies in. When you are a sick baby, you just want to be home with your mommy and it's really not fair to make all the other babies sick and miserable. The absolute worst parent we had for bringing her kids to daycare sick was a nurse. :steam:
Fever, puking, "the trots" -- stay home.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.” ~ John Rogers
This is tough one for me. I've worked for some bosses who want you to do a Lazarus no matter how sick you are.
I worked in a hospital once and the staff was the walking dead during the flu season.
"No ray of sunshine is ever lost, but the green which it awakes into existence needs time to sprout, and it is not always granted to the sower to see the harvest. All work that is worth anything is done in faith." - Albert Schweitzer
