my keys, wallet, cellphone, SLR digital camera, and my huge 1TB external backup hard drive I don't currently have but need to purchase (and perform regular automated backups to it).
And drive my car out of the garage.
Far as I'm concerned, the rest is expendable. It'd suck but not *that* badly.
This also assumes my fire/water-resistance safe makes it through the bonfire, thus preserving my passport & birth certificate.

do dogs count as people? If not, my dog would be on the list, along with the purse and my laptop and a 1920s edition of a short stories collection that belonged to my grandfather- most other things I own would be expendable, though I can't say I'd be pleased about losing my pillow
