I'd save the lizard, and would try to get the fish out of the tank into a smaller bowl. Then I'd save a bike. The next thing that comes to mind is my kayaks, and my father's surfboard. Maybe some clothes to wear. The guitars with sentimental value.

Stuff, blegh, why do I have so much of it? I need to get rid of some crap.

Sounds like a chance for a fresh start, to me.

I'd get the dog out and the teddy panda my brother gave me.

-How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
    -What are you talking about?
-Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
-Well, forget about him and get to bed.
    -Yes, my dear.

All my school texts and assignments. My guitar; I'd also be nice and rescue my brother's guitar. Probably a bunch of family photo albums.

My bike is locked in the shed in the back, so I don't need to rescue it.

Good idea. This is a great reminder for me to get a fireproof safe and put all my documents (house deed, birth certificate, Social security card, copies of all ID) into it!

The last time my place burned down I just threw some clothes on and walked outside. I probably should have grabbed a coat though, since it was really cold out.

I don't own anything with sentimental value or financial value. If I saved something from the fire, I'd appreciate it just as much then as I do right now. I'd probably just grab my guitar.

    More story needed.

Also... "the last time"?! Are you a closet arsonist?

    I'd just run.

Hypothetically in a real fire, I'd like to think I turn into a bad-ass 'S' with super quick reflexes and just run like hell. Maybe I'd grab a blanket, douse it in water, then throw it over me before I run. Or I'd grab a bunch of bed sheets and hustle it out the window MacGuyver style.

I either have so much stuff if I had to stop for a minute to think of 'what's important' I'd probably never make it out. So it's either save it all or let it all burn. It might even feel cathartic. Or maybe that would be the fumes.

The only sentimental things I'd think are 'worth' saving are photographs (pre-digital and pre-Snapfish/PhotoBucket/etc.)

If I were practical (and fast) I'd grab my 'legal ID' things so nobody gets an idea to deport me.

Buuuuuut basically, yeah I'd just run.
