Default Liking Villians more then Heroes- who's with me??

Someone asked me who my favorite Xmen were and I just quickly replied Magneto and then realized you know Magneto is not an Xmen and not only that is one of their main villians- but I really like him the most.

Then I thought about how Dr. Doom is my favorite Fantastic Four character- Stewie my favorite Family Guy, Mr Burns my favorite Simpson's character, Everyone of Batman's villians I like more then Batman, Bill Gates in Pirates of Silicone Valley... etc...

I just have a soft spot for megalomaniacs, lol.

Anyone else feel the same way?
Anyone analyzed why they like villians more then heroes and have some thoughts on it that they would like to share?

the bad-guys have to work so much harder than the heros and they still always lose, one of these days I'd like to see batman fail!

    I likes the underdog.

To be honest megalomaniacs are one of those very rare people to which I can relate to.

I always rooted for Wile E Coyote, the Decepticons, and Cobra.

The bad guys had the most brilliant plans, and the dumb jock good guys had to screw them up.

Cobra had the most advanced parachute technology that you'd ever seen. The vehicles seemed to be able to sense when they were going to blow up and then parachute the person out a second beforehand. This wasn't just for planes either, but also for tanks and any other vehicle.

Maybe if they had invested that effort into developing weapons instead of parachutes they would have beaten G.I.Joe a few times.

Wile E Coyote, yeah good call Jack.

But also Jon Irenicus and Edwin Odesseiron in the Baldur's Gate games, easily my favourite characters.

And of course, Q... I don't even think he *is* a villain!

A lot of the time, villains are very two dimensional and stereotypical, probably so we don't bond to them. But, 2D as he is, I like Ming the Merciless and wished he'd whip Flash's preppy ass

Heh, I'm so like this as well. Villains are generally the smartest character in stories, and end up being beaten by the result of dumb luck on the hero's part (that or deus ex machina). That's why a villain will have had time to learn everything about the hero, come up with a plan to thwart them while simultaniously developing a plan for world domination, organize the whole thing and have time to execute all but the last few steps before the hero will realize the world is in danger.

I mostly like the bad girls like...

    Evil-Lyn from He-Man

    Shego from Kim Possible

Stormy from Rainbow Brite (she wasn't really BAD, just naughty - an SP through and through )

And the Sea-Witch when she turned into a human in The Little Mermaid was hot.

Wow, I just realized my mind doesn't even label "villian" or "hero". I know the lines are drawn in a movie or show, or what have you, but after it's done I don't remember the moral difference between the lines.
