I agree that it is absolutely a cry for attention. For whatever reason, these people felt they blended into the background too much. They were just a little too vanilla, and weren't being noticed enough. The reason they like blood and gore and hostility is because these are representations of the emotions they feel as a result of how others have treated them. Honestly, when I think of two good representatives of that whole [dark, German music, German language, etc] subculture, I think of Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris.

I know some might disagree with me, but I don't feel that any of these people are genuinely racist, sexist, or hateful. I think it is just a reaction to/representation of how others have made them feel. The unfortunate part is that they don't think they need counseling.
Actually, my views are sincere, but some do not subscribe 100 percent to any certain dogma. I'm not a member of any subculture or anything like that (let's face it, I don't have much contact with other people). But I may only share some views with them.

This doesn't necessarily arise from a belief that there is nothing wrong with themselves, however. It arises more from a lack of faith in the effectiveness or aims of counseling, I suspect.

Since you don't have much contact with other people, where do you derive your views on other people from?

I think in the majority of cases you are correct. And I think most of the people on this board agree with you, even if on a subconscious level. Otherwise, if it was truly believed that people like this were committed to the views they espouse 100%, someone would at least act offended or horrified. At least I hope they would...this board seems unusually tolerant, so maybe I'm wrong.

I think it's selective tolerance. Sona has spouted his sexist bullshit all over the forum and people have come down hard on him. Uberfuhrer expresses his racism and he gets sympathetic psychoanalyzation. Two different standards it seems to me.
Relationships have normal ebbs and flows. They do not automatically get better and better when the participants learn more and more about each other. Instead, the participants have to work through the tensions of the relationship (the dialectic) while they learn and group themselves and a parties in a relationships. At times the relationships is very open and sharing. Other time, one or both parties to the relationship need their space, or have other concerns, and the relationship is less open. The theory posits that these cycles occur throughout the life of the relationship as the persons try to balance their needs for privacy and open relationship.

Sona seems to have actually acted on it, while uberfurher hasn't.

We really don't know what either Sona or Uberfuhrer have done IRL. Sona could be talking out of his ass for all we know. And I don't see how intent to be racist/sexist is different from being sexist/racist.

Well, sometimes contact is a necessity. And that's how I get my views.
