    Default vulnerable moments...

I was driving home from a class I was taking tonight... an ambulance was driving in front of me and I could see an old woman with tubes sticking out of her through the rear window.

my roommate and a friend were playing around with broken beer bottles recently. my roommate accidentally got cut. he became very angry.. that sense of helpness from being injured and just losing control.

let's not forget emotional vulnerability. I told a friend after 7 years that I loved her.. but I guess she knew (..next time I won't wait so long).

    you?

What a unique and superb topic, file_cabinet.

There was this one time, several years ago.. I had just moved out here, and my sister had come to visit. It was the middle of the night, and I was having a panic attack because she was leaving the following morning and I felt stranded and distraught. She slept in my bed and stroked my arm until I quickly fell asleep.

Sometimes the human touch is all that is necessary to allay your fears.

I try very very hard not to let anyone see me truly vulnerable. I'm a master at laughing things off, cracking jokes or just avoiding the topic.

Sometimes, I'm not sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing.

lol yeah me too. Everyone that knows me well is used to it though, Especially my family I don't even bother cracking jokes anymore...they caught on to it.
My cold, snide, intellectual life is just a veneer, behind which lies the plywood of loneliness.

My dog got his teeth stuck in his fur. We thought he had bitten through and gotten his teeth stuck in his skin. It was one of those moments having to watch someone you love practically helpless and in pain. I had to firmly hold his head to his side for fear of him ripping his skin off in attempting to free himself. He was very brave and came away with only a bit of a twisted neck.

-How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
    -What are you talking about?
-Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
-Well, forget about him and get to bed.
    -Yes, my dear.

In 1997, my family decided to put my rottweiler down. My cousin and I broke him free from the locked car and escaped with him into the hills behind our house. It lasted about an hour. Then he was gone.

My cat, who made the best farts in the whole wide world died in my bed over night, when I was like 16 years old. Man that was shocking, touching her in the morning being totally cold.

On the other hand, how nice that your cat could die peacefully, nestled in a place where she felt loved and safe.

Me and a girl I was dating at the time were sitting on my bedroom floor kissing at first, but I hit a point where I didn't know what to do next. Instead of leaving she stayed and showed me first, then had me try. She would then show me another thing, and I'd try it after that. I don't think I would have ever had a first time if it wasn't for that night...

Admitting to a fairly new friend that I have no other friends, my life has been a failure and I am a coward. In retrospect the worst and the best day of my life...
