I always liked going to different malls as a child because I was inspired by their architecture.

The mall is the worst. I like the thrift store and used book shops.

Oh, this reminds me.. We were in this party that got a bit boring, so we walk to the other side of the town and stopped cars on the way there (there was this real pretty girl with angel wings on her back and she would stand on the road so the cars slow down) We knocked on the window, and they roll it down, we ask them "You fuck?" We got all kinds of funny answers like "not at the moment", but the best was when we stop this huge bus that was filled with men. They said "yeah, we're gays"

I like spontaneity. I might think of another place to go while I'm out, so for me, it's no big deal to swing in and do it. If someone else thinks of the place to go, I'm cool with that, too.

The only time I don't like it is if something major is required of me that I'd like to have prepared for, like a job interview or audition. I mean, I can do a spur of the moment one, but I'd much prefer to have some time to mentally prepare.

If someone were to surprise me with a trip or going to a nice restaurant after work or something like that, I would love it, but it would be even better if they'd give me a few minutes to pack my stuff the way I like it or to change clothes, etc. Just a minor adjustment, though.

I am attracted to spontaneity as well. I like to enter a trance, usually in a quiet place in the Bush, and turn off that part of my brain that knows what is coming next so that everything comes as a surprise.

At first I feel some fear, as I am quite vulnerable when I don't know what is coming next.

But the fear passes quickly and I am being delightfully surprised, moment by moment.

And life becomes a surprise party.

Until, once again I turn on that part of my brain that knows what is coming next.

And I am left relaxed and refreshed. And perhaps a little wistful.

I don't think I could survive without it. Monotonous routine is my Kryptonite and leaves me quite exhausted.

If I'm being spontaneous, it's great.

If someone else is spontaning on me, it'd better be very good.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”
