    Default How have the MBTIc/INTPc forums changed your life?

    The forums have had a pretty substantial effect on my life. I've met several members and even moved to a city I would have never otherwise considered. I could write quite a bit more, but I don't feel like writing a long post right now (and I'm more interested in what other people have to say). I might go into more detail later.

    It got me away from the MySpace crap that I became lured into but couldn't get out of...although by fate, I carried it over here.

    Just provided a interaction that's helped my relative personal growth. There truly is a different flavor of person on average here than the internet in general in my experience.

    It made me realize that there's actually a reason to post on the same message board for more than a few days, and allowed me to meet a few interesting and kind people. One of them even kept dragging me back by asking me to read posts when they found me drifting to another board.

    I've really benefitted from typal interaction. Being sick limited that and I really missed my IRL friends. I've made new friends here too and met lots of interesting people from all walks of life. Some of you really helped my family out when we were going through a crisis and without your help, we would have fallen. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    It's allowed my delusions of grandeur to take flight, and crush you all under my boot heel.

    Falcarius life has not changed as such, but it has gave him a different perspective as in his everyday life he does not really come to direct contact with such diverse sections of society that he does here.

    For example, say he was to randomly speak to a women ten or fifteen years older she would probably think he weird and was trying to hit on her, therefore she would try to get the hell away from him as fast as possible.

    Another thing Falcarius learnt is there is more cultural difference than meets the eye between North America and the rest of the world.

    For example;

Another funny one was "thrift store", I thought that was a pretentious way of saying a "bank". It was only when people started saying they got their cheap books and clothes from a "thrift store", that I wanted to know why the hell banks had cheap books and clothes, so I looked up what a "thrift store" was. I found out it was what we call a "charity shop"; not somewhere where a person deposits their money.

    I think reading and interacting with people on this forum solidified what my reading about MBTI and personality type stuff started, which was help me feel more comfortable than ever being myself.
