Assume that he purposely dismantled the band. He is still one of the reasons why it existed. He and Lenon formed one of the longest song writing partnerships in the world. Their songs were probably 75% of the reason why theynwere so successful.

Johm lenon's demon looking wife seems like the bad omen of the band.

Nah, Paul didn't purposefully do anything, he's too inept. Wouldn't it have been amazing if most of the Beatles catalog was Lennon-Harrison? They probably would've had to get Clapton to fill in on the guitar and harmony. Then Yoko would've joined up and it would've gone off the wall art-rock, they'd end up touring with the Velvet Underground.

The American education system is deeply flawed and potentially harmful.

I was just thinking of digging up this thread...

I think professors who read everyones essays out loud in front of everyone, just to make pretentious and derisive little 'jabs' at them, going as far as to leave one person in TEARS, should be I dunno... excommunicated if I am being nice. Or be chinese water tortured in front of a live audience until they are forced to reveal every single intimate detail that has ever happened in their lives-then be locked up in a zoo so everyone can gawk at them.

Though some of it was funny-4 hours of watching relentless degredation kills most of that humor fast. And it isn't as if I can't take a joke, doesn't bother me particularly if you want to be an asshole-even to me whatever, I couldn't care less if you thought my paper about light was too unclear, longwinded, and 'evasively trying to avoid giving away the fact that I didn't bother researching the topic, but lacking the intellectual substance to be at all convincing' blah blah blah same thing repeated again and again to make his 'point' (because I mean the history of the positioning of light in movies... Absolutely mind-blowing topic, especially interesting and compelling to try to understand and build on when you have to write under a specific formula, covering a set list of points, and having to rewrite anything "unclear". It is really great to not be able to have any viewpoint at all, or introduce any new possible interpretation, really worthwhile writing the same exact thing as the person next to me. Just accept that no one cares, everyone just wants to BS a passing grade. If 'half the class failed' and my paper is a 98% and you still spend 10 minutes criticizing it, you have issues. At least try to be semi-constructive)

But at 50, making fun of a class of comminity college kids is really not that impressive. Take your pent up frusterations out on someone willing to defend themselves-you do not look cool, it is really just pathetic.

Maybe that belongs more in the rant thread-but the fact that I believe things should happen to those who use 'easy targets' as a way to feed their own ego, can justify it here too.

And on a less serious note:

More people should fly kites. It seems like less and less people are doing so, everyone should own at least one kite. Anyone who disagrees will have to own two kites- and go through a clockwork orangey sort of brainwashing until they enjoy it.

Guilt should not be the primary reason behind a person not committing suicide, yet such pressure is much too common in society today.

I believe jobs are pointless and unnecessary, and that we'd be better off as a society without any money or complicated systems which put people in terrible circumstances.

Kurt Cobain was never really that great a musician... possibly borderline terrible. (But I'm sure the emotion put into his songs makes up for it... I think.)

And I completely agree with @Tellenbach regarding how much The Monty Python sucks.
