ESFJs love to be right, need lots of attention and positive feedback, and are deeply hurt when people we care about "do the wrong thing" or fail us in some substantive way.

    Low maintenance?

You'll want someone introverted, unstructured, and unlikely to take offense at much.

    ISTP or INTP.

If you must associate with an INTJ for common ends, the INTJ will expect your blood, sweat, and tears, all delivered in a punctual manner.

    Otherwise, they're fairly low maintenance.

Please validate the key traits of the INTP:

    • INTP-ishness.
    • Intelligence
    • Ingenuity
    • Low-key demeanor
    • Low-maintainance-ness
    • ...
    • ...
    • ... (Feel free to fill in with your own assessments.)
    • ... (They have to be the right ones, of course.)

Please, no ESFJs need apply. Not that we care what you say. Thanks.

We're low maintenance in that we don't need a lot of ego-stroking or require you to constantly reaffirm your love and devotion every five minutes. We'll never create drama just for its own sake. We don't have a lot of unnecessary arguments, and are very helpful as a way to show affection. We're high maintenance in that we expect a level of independence and competency from our partners. Really, it's just a matter of finding a good match from the beginning, though, and it's low maintenance all the way.

My shop owner and mentor is an ESFJ. Today he asked me "What are you going to do when you grow up?" (I'm 35) and "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" The worst questions to ask me. I just explained that I don't think of life in those terms. He gave me shit about it. We grabbed some beers after work and I asked him what made him ask me those questions (random). He said, "I'm just poking the bear."

Fucker. Anyway, that is a prime example of ESFJ being high maintenance. Testing reactions. Then test some more.
