Default Do women think beards are attractive?

I saw an episode of Shark Tank last night where this question came up and I'm curious. This is the founder of the company, Beardbrand, that was highlighted on the show. As you can see he has a big old Unix beard.

Beardbrand, is trying to appeal to urban beardsmen and help the bearded lifestyle become more accepted.

Here is a video talking about the Shark Tank episode and the company's philosophy about beardedness.

Short answer: sometimes. It depends on the guy. Some men look good with beards, and some look better clean-shaven. (I didn't think Steve Carell was all that good-looking, until I saw him with a beard. Then I had to reevaluate my entire view of life, the universe, and everything.)

I will say that I prefer beards to be short and neatly trimmed. I don't understand this recent, bizarre trend where guys grow these giant Gandalf beards.

depends on the guy, my dad always had a beard he pulled it off. some guys their beard just looks like they transplanted a girls pubes to their face. and perhaps that has more to do with grooming
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so

Depends on the man. On an attractive, well-groomed man, a stubble increases sexiness. On an unkempt bum, it does the opposite.

Beards can be seriously sexy! If they're well taken care of.... and it sort of depends on the guy.

Bearded men :you've got the power !!!

I think a man with a beard seems wise, virile, and secretive...

Of course, all of them have those 3 qualities

Some guys are just born for beards and I understand the trend as a fashion statement. Go for it guys! Personally I wouldn't be setting up shop with one of them. I can't stand the feel of facial hair on my skin, thanks to a stubbly ex-bf who loved to rub his stubble across my breasts. I'm sure it was erotic for him but it was dermabrasion for me. The equivalent of someone taking 200 grit sandpaper to my chest. Thanks to his lack of courtesy I am now sworn off facial hair for life.

The other aspect I find slightly icky is old man syndrome, where bits of food and staining of the hair around the mouth occurs. It just screams lack of hygiene. The beard pictured is helped a great deal by the youthful and complimentary haircut. If his hair was parted in the middle and slicked to the skull you can imagine the creep factor. But kudo's to him for starting a fashion trend and a company based on it. While women get their bitch on, men can get their beard on.

Yeah pretty much nailed it for me. I think up to a couple centimeters can be sexy.

It depends. On some men beards look great.

On some men it just look bad.

Someone like my husband, who is clean shaven 99% of the time, has so much gray in it he doesn't like growing one. He also feels it doesn't look professional. I would like it either way.
I like to rock n' roll all night and *part* of every day. I usually have errands... I can only rock from like 1-3.
