Most of my friends are married. So, I've had my fair share of attending the ritual known as wedding. I was usually a bride's maid, but I refused to wear a dress and opted for a tux instead. Luckily, my friends are open minded and didn't care.
There's crying. Women seem to cry at these functions. There's a reception where you may or may not dance. Bubbly alcohol and tomfoolery. Thank goodness my friends are nerds. I daresay weddings have the potential to be incredibly stuffy affairs. Star Wars wedding cake anyone?
I cry It's going to be so embarassing if I ever get married...
Everyone else has covered everything though, pretty much. A friend of mine got married and there was much playing of Nintendo DS at the reception while their wedding march was a remix of Final Fantasy music.
Dreams are best served manifest and tangible.

I accept no responsibility, what so ever, for the fact that I exist; I do, however, accept full responsibility for what I do while I exist.
Get bored, try desperately to start an interesting conversation with someone... fail. Then there's the drink. It doesn't alleviate the boredom but it does give you something to do and eventually any conversation is interesting.
Oh and around this time in my life it seems everyone's getting married... makes it really hard to delay the inevitable.
God knows what I'll do at my own wedding... probably the same....
I'm attending one this weekend. I haven't been to one since I was a little guy. So... I guess I'll just observe?
Assuming I get married, I want to elope and I'm serious about that. Me and my honey on some island somewhere. One of my sister's best friends just recently did that in Jamaica. I think it's an awesome idea. I'm modest in the affairs that are of romantic nature and I really don't want a spectacle at my wedding. Maybe a nice dinner upon our return but the traditional church house, reception of dancing and music etc... Eh, no thanks.
