The sorting in the books/movies makes very little sense. Neville should have been in Hufflepuff. Hermione should have been in Ravenclaw. So why were they both in Gryffindor? Because Gryffindor is where the brave people go? In that case, why was Luna Lovegood in Ravenclaw, when she was so brave as well?

Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Anyway. I could see myself as equal parts Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. People most frequently tend to think I'm Ravenclaw.

I have interpreted this to represent that all the houses are really parts of a greater whole and need to work together. Also a sort of 4-fold yin/yang like connection, where each contains some aspects of the other, however different/opposite. This is embodied tangibly by bringing people who "should" be in the other houses together in Gryffindor. Slytherin is included, of course, through Harry's connection to Voldemort, being a parseltongue, etc.

Perhaps not Rowling's intentions and just Ni run amok, but that's what occurred to me.

I'm slytherin mostly, with Ravenclaw second.

I identify strongly with Ravenclaw. "Wit beyond measure is a man's greatest treasure" indeed. Knowledge is it's own reward!

That, and I don't have enough ambition for Slytherin, and I'm not quite heroic enough for Gryffindor– though I could understand if I was placed in that house.

I think Ravenclaw. Though I would like more description of each beyond "brave, loyal, intelligent, and self-preserving."

I'm boring as fuck. Hufflepuff for me.

My god, the house name even sounds horrible.

    Ravenclaw comes second though.

The first time I took the Pottermore test I got Gryffindor. That was in high school. Multiple times after that I got Slytherin, but I don't identify with Slytherin at all (I'm literally the least ambitious person ever, I couldn't give any less shits about my own success). Most recently I got Hufflepuff, although that was at least half a year ago. As a kid I always wanted to be a Ravenclaw. I guess we always want to be what we're not, eh?

If Hogwarts was a real thing, I would bet $1000 that you would not end up in Slytherin. Maybe you were feeling rebellious or something during that time period, but you are definitely nothing like that.

Yeah I definitely don't see Slytherins as bad people, but nevertheless highly doubt I'm a Slytherin. My bet is that I would either be Hufflepuff of Gryffindor. Probably Hufflepuff.

Ugh. Maybe I'm Gryffindor after all. I dunno.
