What are your thoughts on solipsism?

Honestly? I don't care. It harkens to Occam's razor anyway so I dismiss such things as erroneous. I have much more important things to worry about.

Besides, I dislike philosophy much of the time. I am poor at doing it, and almost always seems like pointless navel gazing especially when the implications aren't possible/realistic.

I think my inferior Ti is showing.

    for your ti.

I go back and forth with philosophy. it can be a jumping off point just like typology and a bunch of other things, but it's not gonna feed me.

What is amazing is that we can recogise the difference between dreaming and waking.

And it is also amazing that we can recognise the difference between imagination and reality.

In fact learning to recognise the difference between imagination and reality is one of our life's tasks.

And it is a task we need to complete as small children. And we undertake this task through play. For the purpose of play is to learn to distinguish between imagination and reality.

    And interestingly mbti is play.

So for grownups to entertain mbti is regression.

At its best mbti is regression in the service of the ego, but unfortunately mbti is usually used in the service of the id.

So we entertain mbti to complete a life's task that remains incomplete since childhood.

But we forever fail to complete our life's task because we regress in the service of the id rather than in the service of the ego.

I am so very sure that 99% reality is virtual, and it concerns me deeply.

    Hahahahaha.

A big irritation is I like conclusions. I want an end, concensus, agreement, etc. Philosophy often is perma open ended and will never be resolved and people can remain unmoved.

I will want to say "ok what's the answer, what's the agreement/conclusion" and I am often met with "you don't get any of that". To that I feel compelled to say: well, you can get bent, I got better things to do.

I like conclusions as well. like are we going at 10 or 12 to eat, i want to know. and drives me nuts when i don't know. or any thing that actually effects my life. I deal with bad news way way way better than I deal with no news. no news is neither good nor bad news it's anxiety producing news. with bad news i can at least implement a plan. and i'll have plans in waiting but sometimes i need to know something before i can decide which plan to implement. plus I think i a lot of philosophers are simply wrong.

Faith is believing that which we know isn't true.

Some of us have faith in a God with the head of an elephant called Ganesh, while others have faith in a three headed God called the Trinity.

And in America everyone is a person of faith, at least if they are running for office.
