Yeah, if it was an emergency and there was nobody else to do it. I already am missing an adrenal gland, so being cut open in that area twice would be cutting open a scar

No- my health is shitty as it is, & I'm admittedly selfish when it comes to trying to conserve my own quality of life at this point.
Also, my blood type is ridiculously common, so it really wouldn't be that hard to help them find a willing donor in my stead. It'd be difficult & take a lot of time, but I'd do all I could to aid in the search.

If I were in good health, I'd donate it to my closest friends, and perhaps my grandfather, if he'd allow me to (he wouldn't, though).

Donating my body to science when I'm dead, most likely.

If that "good acquaintance" was the only other person lost on an island with me, we had absolutely NO chance of coming back to civilization, and the "surgery" could be magically and painlessly performed without any doctors, then yeah, I'd give one to them.

Otherwise, hell no. Not even my best friend.
But if it's my mum, my love, my spouse or my child, I would give one away in a heart beat! No question.

What is with these people bumping old threads?

If absolutely necessary I'd donate a kidney to my sister (she has exactly the same blood type as I do). I don't think I'd donate to anyone else.

I'm a universal whole blood products donor (universal plasma recipient) which incidentally also indicates that I'm a universal organ donor.
I'd sacrifice whatever necessary for my wife or children, but everybody else needs to accept that your time has come & take it like a man rather than taking from others to extend life. I'd have serious reservations regarding donating organs & likely defer from donating any organs to non family members because I'd then be unable to give to my own during their time of need.

With organs I believe it is more complicated (someone with a medicine background correct me if I am wrong), as there are several additional blood types beyond the common ABO system that matter significantly beyond a basic blood transfusion.

I know my genetic profile & that my children likely could receive my organs, bone marrow or other donor tissue.
My wife has A2-negative blood type, we'd likely be a 3-4 point LHA match but I'd do whatever I could for her.

Not sure I would ever give my organs to an acquaintance. Close friends and family, yes.
Don't like my modera... Oh wait, wrong forum. Carry on.

Good for him. If i needed a kidney i wouldn't ask someone to give me theirs. It's selfish to a degree that makes them saying no seem irrelivant. Especially if it's your own children or grandchildren.

    My thoughts exactly.

So the answer is, hell to the motherfucking no.

I'm trying to think of an example:

Good acquaintance hits me up on facebook,

"Hey dude! Long time no see! Remember when we met at that hostel in Germany and travelled around together. Good times!

Hey, btw, can I have one of your kidneys?"

    @RedruM

    Hilarious Curb episode.
I've had this ice cream bar, since I was a child!

    Each thought's completely warped
