Rooms with scarlet light pouring out of them are Stephen King territory, and going up close to thick leaden clouds is a good way to get struck by lightning. I'd opt for the forest, hoping not to be torn to shreds by a wild bear.

“That we are capable only of being what we are remains our unforgivable sin.” ― Gene Wolfe
reminder to self: "That YOU that you are so proud of is a story woven together by your interpreter module to account for as much of your behavior as it can incorporate, and it denies or rationalizes the rest." "Who's in Charge? Free Will and the Science of the Brain" by Michael S. Gazzaniga
This was a tough one. I wouldn't want to go in a dark forest, but I would be interested in what's beyond it. The room looks safe and comfortable, but it looks small and I wouldn't wanna be stuck in a small place if I encountered something. I guess I would climb up the stairs, despite being a little scared of heights, just because I feel like a lot of interesting things could be there that I wouldn't normally be able to see.
