    Default The audience has aged

The audience has aged considerably. A large part of the audience now consists of baby boomers who, thanks to modern medicine, are living into healthy old age. And these healthy old baby boomers have the buying power and the time to enjoy movies.

And naturally the baby boomers like to see movies about people their own age, so old actors are now in demand.

To offset this adolescents also have buying power and the time to enjoy movies and like to see movies about themselves.

So the adolescents are seeing more older actors on screen. Quel dommage!

His real voice actually sounds like an English version of Bobcat Goldthwait in Police Academy.

"For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals....."
'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
    Piglet was comforted by this.
    - A.A. Milne.
