    - Travel more, travel far away from home and try all local food you can find.
    - Give your smartphone, your computer, your ipad less eye contact and look around you, look at the ones right in front of you, look deep into the souls that are right besides you.
    - Think, think hard, then do what your heart tells you.
    - Hug, kiss, hold hands, love, sacrifice, laugh, cry, get out, do something about it, linger, hold on tight, speak up, and do it all over again - as if every time is the last time.

Always treat guns like they are loaded, even if you know (or think you know) that they aren't.

Keep your finger outside the trigger guard until you have decided to fire.

Know your target and what is behind your target.

Don't walk on active railroad tracks while listening to your iPod and texting.

    Don't pet a burning dog.

    1) Trust and respect your loved ones - without these two things, relationships crumble very quickly.
    2) Always try to see a situation from many different points of view, so that you get the whole picture and not just bits and pieces. Plus, it will become easier for you to make decisions that are fair for everyone involved.
    3) Love and forgive everyone in your heart, regardless of whether they're friends or enemies. Most of the world's problems can be solved that way - seriously.
    4) Be kind to any and all guests who you invite into your home.
    5) Life is too short to waste away on things that won't remain forever. Live each and every moment with the people who matter most to you, and never forget to let them know (whether directly or through action) that you love them.
Only she who attempts the absurd can achieve the impossible... and then some.

don't expect people to be any certain kind of way but try to really see them for who they are.

try not to get so wrapped up in yourself or your own thoughts and motivations that you fail to connect with those around you.

ask yourself and your partner the hard questions. don't be polite. don't make it easy.

realize that happiness is a choice. find things to be thankful for and happy about all day long.

give all of yourself to your passions.
There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.

    1) Try your best to see yourself objectively. Know your own strengths and weaknesses. Know your limits! Accept them, work around them, use them to your advantage.

    2) Know the lay of the land before you plan what, or if, you're going to build on top of it. Alternately: Learn the rules before you decide to change or break them. Alternately: Listen before you speak.

    3) "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." (Maya Angelou)

    4) Your comfort zone was meant to be broken out of. Alternately: Pain is weakness leaving the body. Alternately: Just do it, you'll feel better after.

    5) Stand by your principles. Be honorable. Leave no doubt in anyone's minds that you are worthy of respect.

The best and strongest people remain loving and kind after terrible experiences.

    1. Leave a spare pair of shoes in your car or at work in case you step in some dog poop.
    2. Watch the first season of Picket Fences (1992) if you haven't already.
    3. Don't get botox injections or inject your lips with collagen (fish lips aren't attractive).
    4. Avoid Kenny Rogers' cosmetic surgeon.
    5. Eat more mushrooms.
