I found this cool thing a while back, I meant to post it here. Here's something really cool if you want to freeze large batches of things: Smoothie bricks.

You can also use ice cube trays instead so that the blender can chop them up easier.. but same same. It's easy, and you can use fresher stuff this way with less liquid to break it all down. And you can make a shit ton of these if you find a bunch of produce on sale. There are other recipes on there, but you can pretty much adapt this one to your liking.

The idea is: 2 of those + 1 cup of liquid of choice.. so you could have the same fruits and veggies, and change the liquid out to coconut water, regular water, milk, orange juice, etc. at will.

Planning on trying that out at some point this week.

Blanchin' greens!? Who am I, Irma S. Rombauer?

I have a nutribullet that can handle all fruit plus, well just about anything. Poor man's Blendtec.

However, I don't think my regular blender could handle a frozen fruit brick.

Good thing I'm a genius. I just had an idea.

Of course this could be too messy and make I'll look into fruit bricks.

Haha no ice cube trays would work just fine and be easier for the nutribullet.

Just stopping by to say this fly swatter is superior to the more expensive wire ones. I think cuz it's lighter? I don't know but I'm racking up some kills here.

    • reuse plastic containers from yogurt, cream cheese, lunch meats, etc. for leftovers
    • make your own yogurt; it's easy, cheap, free of additives like sugar, and will always be on hand
    • put a shallow plate of beer in the garden to trap slugs (watch for drunken birds)
    • you can clean almost anything around the house with vinegar
    • to remove stubborn stains from things like wine carafes or coffee cups, drop a denture cleaning tablet in it with water and let it soak for a couple hours, then scrub/wipe gently
    • bar soap is good at getting some stains out of clothing; it's a good method to try first

Ways to survive going all natural with deodorant:
    - Keep a small kit of plain, cheap vodka in a spray bottle and a touch of baby powder. If your deodorant wears out when you're out in public, just go to the bathroom, spray that under your arms, and clean underneath until dry. Put a tiny amount of baby powder to freshen up.
    - Re-balance the pH of your underarms from all that baking soda and stuff by spritzing some vinegar under your arms in the shower prior to rinsing off initially. It should neutralize any baking soda leftover instantly.
    - Alternate between a moisturizing deodorant with no powders/dry ingredients in it, and powder-containing deodorant in the night and day respectively to give the skin a break from the grit of powders and allow it to absorb moisture better.
