I was taking my mom out for coffee but we ditched and got ice cream instead. Then our family was going to go out to a nice dinner then we ditched and got low-key takeout instead. I love my mom and my family.

Taco meat (of a quality similar to or inferior to Taco Bell's meat) on a hamburger bun with some shredded lettuce, if I remember right. There might also be tomato. I'm not above eating it, but it's not my first choice.

    Happy Mother's Day.
I don't have the sentimentality for it. I figure as long as I show up and hang out, it's enough. But I'm sure she would have secretly enjoyed something. Oh well, that's what my nieces and nephews are for.
I've had this ice cream bar, since I was a child!

FWIW, as a mom, I don't give a crap about mother's day for me. I think it's a silly Halmark holiday. I don't know if I'll feel differently after my kids all move out (assuming they do), but I've been momming for 21 years and it hasn't been a big thing for me so far.

Based on interactions on here and what you've said about things you and my mom have very similar personalities. She didn't care about mothers day when I was growing up still doesn't now. Of course her kids call her regularly and refuses to go to a restaurant on a holiday
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

My family and I take my Mom to the same antique market every year for Mother's Day, we have our differences but definitely bond over history.

I also made her a card.
