Choose a weapon you will be able to carry comfortably. A Jennings .22 is worth more than a gun not carried due to it being uncomfortable or difficult to conceal. I go from small .22s and revolvers in the summer to larger caliber semi-autos in the winter due to the ability to conceal larger guns with winter clothing.

Guns aren't the problem but rather it's the freaking violent felons that are the problem in the US.
Lance Thomas is an excellent example of a responsible gun owner that was forced to use his weapon in self defense.
