At least in my work demographic, young people change jobs a lot more these days because there's tremendous pressure to. Stay with something for two years or more, and peers will talk about your lack of self-betterment and think there must be something wrong - which is my social experience, not an assumption. I wish it weren't the case. The idea of working on the same thing every day for many years, but still still saving for a bettering home situation, actually appeals to me.
Maybe I'm just feeling deficient in quiet.
